Whitcomb-Cole Log House
Located in the Conboy Lake National Wildlife Refuge in Southern Washington is the Whitcomb-Cole House which was constructed in the 1890s of hand-hewn logs. The original house did not have a kitchen, and one was not added until 1915. The house has been under restoration since 1987 and is recognized as one of the last examples of pioneer log construction in the area.
